Our approach

Premium selection without the premium budget

Premium does not have to mean expensive. For ten years, Origins has built relationships with Washington growers, producers and brands, and those relationships shape what we buy, how fresh it is and how it is priced. We are selective about who earns space on our shelves, and we invest in the brands and farms we believe in. Four things keep a great shelf within reach.

Quality+Freshness+Selection+Relationships+Strong pricing=Value
01

Ten years of relationships

How it works: we have worked with many of our vendors since the medical era, so we know their products and they know what our customers like.

For you: access to special buys, exclusives and new releases.

02

Thoughtful buying and freshness

How it works: we buy with the shelf in mind and rotate stock, so products are not left sitting.

For you: what you take home is fresher, and worth what you paid for it.

03

Rotation and special drops

How it works: approximately 25 featured vendor partners every month, with new farms, brands and offers rotating weekly.

For you: the menu in November is not the menu in October, and our relationships often bring drops that customers may not find at other dispensaries nearby.

04

Vendor partnerships

How it works: vendor-supported offers and special buys sit alongside our regular deals on the live menu.

For you: there is nearly always a strong pick near the number you have in mind.

So the question is not whether you can afford the good shelf. It is which format and which experience suit you. If a more modest option is the better pick for you, a Cannabis Guide will say so plainly.

In store

Meet the people behind the products

About 18 to 20 days a month, growers, producers and brand teams are in our stores, talking through their products and educating our Cannabis Guides and customers. Alongside that, approximately 25 featured vendor partners every month, with new farms, brands and offers rotating weekly.

Shop by budget

Shop by budget: what to ask for

These are example ranges, not menu prices. Prices vary by product, weight and store, and today's actual prices are always on the live menu. Spending more does not mean better quality, it just means different choices, and every range draws from the same fresh, quality shelf. If your number falls between two ranges, a Cannabis Guide will build something that fits it.

Budget range
Approx.$10 to $20

Try something new

Best for
a first visit, a curious shopper, one good evening.
What to ask for
a single pre-roll, a single serve drink or low dose edible, or a small vape or gram to try a new farm.
What stays the same
it comes off the same shelf, with the same fresh rotation and the same guidance as every other range.
Guide tip
tell a Cannabis Guide how you want the evening to go and they will point you to one thing that does it, rather than three that might.
Budget range
Approx.$20 to $40

The everyday visit

Best for
regular shoppers who want one really good product for the week.
What to ask for
an eighth of flower, a multipack of pre-rolls, or a 0.5 g or 1 g cartridge or all in one.
What stays the same
featured vendors and weekly offers show up across every range, so it is always worth asking what is new.
Guide tip
ask what is new this week and which vendors are in store.
Budget range
Approx.$40 to $70

A little more of what you like

Best for
people who want more of a favorite, or who are shopping for more than one occasion.
What to ask for
a quarter ounce of flower, an eighth with an edible, or a vape alongside a few pre-rolls.
What stays the same
larger formats can lower the price per gram, and if you have reached an Amplify tier the discount applies across the basket.
Guide tip
buy what you will finish. Flower dries out, and fresh flower is better than a bigger bag you stop reaching for.
Budget range
Approx.$70+

Go bigger, or go small batch

Best for
shoppers who want a particular small batch product, or who like to stock up.
What to ask for
small batch flower from a named grower, live rosin or live resin, or a larger format of something you already love.
What stays the same
quality does not depend on what you spend. A product at any price can be exactly right, and a Guide will say so if a more modest option suits you better.
Guide tip
smell before you buy. At West Seattle, the Terpene Bar lets you smell isolated terpenes first, and in either store a Guide will read a label with you.

Origins Lifestyles

Shop by how you want to feel

Nightlife

Social sparkle for shows, dancing and late nights out with friends.

02 · Decompress

Unwind

Slow evenings, deep couches and a properly quiet mind.

03 · Restore

Wellness

05 · Explore

Adventurous

Trailheads, viewpoints and big Pacific Northwest days outside.

06 · Reflect

Self Discovery

Creative focus and introspection for journaling, art and ideas.

6

Budget is what you want to spend. Lifestyle is the type of experience you are looking for. All six Lifestyles can be found at every price point, so pick the experience first, then the format that fits your number. If you already know the brand you want, use the brand list below or search the live menu.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I get premium cannabis on a budget at Origins? +
Yes. Origins carries a curated, constantly changing menu, from everyday options to small batch craft, supported by ten years of vendor relationships, fresh and exclusive products and multiple ways to save. Cannabis Guides will work within whatever you want to spend.
How do I choose what to buy for my budget? +
Start with the experience you want, then the format. Tell a Cannabis Guide how much you would like to spend and how you want the evening to go. For flower, compare the price per gram. For edibles, compare total milligrams. On any label, read the terpene list and the packaged date before the THC number.
What does a curated selection mean at Origins? +
Origins works with approximately 40 carefully selected Washington brands and vendor partners, chosen because we believe in them and are willing to invest in their success. Because of ten years of vendor relationships, we often carry products, drops and special opportunities that customers may not find at other dispensaries in our immediate market. Approximately 25 vendor partners are featured every month, with new farms, brands and offers rotating weekly. Ask a Cannabis Guide what is new.
What are vendor days? +
About 18 to 20 days a month, growers, producers and brand teams spend time in our stores, talking through their products and educating our team and customers. Ask a Cannabis Guide which vendors are in this week.
Is cheaper cannabis weaker? +
Not necessarily. Price reflects many things, including the farm, how the product was grown, trimmed and cured, its format and how much you buy. Potency alone does not set it. A Cannabis Guide can help you find something that suits what you want.
What are the ways to save at Origins? +
Origins offers Amplify 2.0 loyalty rewards, medical tax relief for qualifying patients, Wisdom, Veteran and Hospitality or Industry discounts, new offers every Thursday, and daily and weekly deals, including vendor-supported offers. See the Deals page for what is running now.
Can I combine Amplify rewards with a daily deal? +
No. Amplify rewards cannot be combined with other promotions, so you take whichever is better on the day. Medical tax relief works differently, because it applies to tax rather than the shelf price.
Is there a limit on how much I can buy? +
Yes. Adults 21 and over can buy up to 1 ounce of flower, 7 grams of concentrate, 16 ounces of solid edible or 72 ounces of liquid edible in one transaction. Registered medical patients can buy up to three times those amounts.
Do both stores carry the same selection? +
Both stores carry the same categories and largely the same vendor partners, but each holds its own inventory, so a brand on one menu is not always on the other. Check the live menu for the store you are visiting.
Where do I see today's prices and what is in stock? +
The live menu for each store updates in real time and is the only reliable source for today's prices and stock. You can also call West Seattle on (206) 922-3954 or Redmond on (425) 298-0170 and staff will check the shelf while you are on the phone.
